I've been using Snivy on ym first and only playthrough, and it's been more than amazing at everything. A true beast of a pokemon, probably the best starter of this generation.

For me, every single city in Johto os absolutely amazing. I honestly couldn't choose between any of them, they are all just simply brilliant as they are filled with so many childhood memories.

I usually nickname them with themes, for example, throughout my recent LG save I had an Italian theme, I nicknamed my Hitmonlee 'Armando' which in Italian means 'of the army' because Hitmonlee is a fighter. In my Ruby game next I'm having a Spanish theme.

I'm having trouble picking a well balanced team to play through on my Ruby version. I'd like to be able to get most of them fairly early on, latest would be about mid-way through. So could you please help me choose a team? I'm thinking for my starter either Mudkip or Treecko.

I have a question, when abouts do you get the fossils and at what point in the game can you turn them into pokemon?

White. I'm not an emo, so Black City and the miserable pokemon aren't appealing to me. White Forest looks amazing too.

That's basically my team. Except minus Wargle and the croc, plus Shandeera and big giant polar bear RAWR.

I really like the idea and look of White Forest, but I definately do not like Dark City, which is what swayed my decision to get White instead of Black, I prefer the pokemon in black, but, after all, they are just pokemon.

Hmm, I'm a big fan of Smugleaf, but I may change my mind concerning which starter to choose. I don't see many good water types apart from the fossilised turtle, who will probably come late in the game, and I don't see any water type gym/E4 that Smugleaf will be useful in. And, actually, the...

Yay Wargle is in Black. I'm getting black because I think Zekrom will be the most popular legendary, but I like Reshiram better anyway.
