    #21 - Retype

What about Chesu's? The sand replaced with lava was brilliant. But, I also have to say that all of the entries are very good. It would be hard for me to select a top three with the amount of quality work ;)

My secular arguments against gay marriage.

Yeah, I totally get where you are coming from. Simply where we are born, who are parents are, what sexual orientation is, what race we are, among other unchangeable characteristics really do dictate a lot of our personality and experiences in life. It's our job to try to objectively view the...

My secular arguments against gay marriage.

Again, that is an interpretation made by modern men. Here is what the original text translates to literally: "And with a male not you male shall lie down beds of a woman abomination she". This would moreso mean, "if a male, who is not you, is lying down with your woman, then the woman is an...

    Criminon's Sprites! (Some Fakemon)

[Post & Discuss] Pictures of you!

Haha, I know what you mean! Although I am not overweight, I am by no means in-shape. I keep doing that thing where I pronounce that I am going to work out or do p90x, but when the dreaded day comes I end up saying, "nah, I can always start tomorrow". Then the process repeats itself. Also...

My secular arguments against gay marriage.

Not to mention the various interpretation of the original text of the bible. The word interpreted as "homosexual" in recent editions of the bible has been interpreted as the "sexually corrupt/perverted", "pedophiles", "male prostitutes", among hundreds of other interpretations throughout the...

Is it ever okay to break the law?

And to add to this, many times someone will do something that doesn't align with federal or state law. Or perhaps someone will do something that is protected by the law. Either way, the judicial branch has the responsibility of interpreting the intent of the law, and thereby can amend or declare...

France: Gay marriage legal by 2013

I like how it was claimed that same-sex marriage is barbaric since it goes against social norms that have been set in place for an extended period of time. Hmm? Can you think of any other things that went against the social norm for many years? Ah, for one, there are voting rights; women and...

Would you send your kids to private school?

Although most private schools are religious (85%), not all are. If I am able to make enough money to send my child to a private school, I would. The selection of the private school would be the important part of this decision though. I would want to see statistics, curriculum, extracurricular...

    [Showcase] Fakemon Dex

These are great. I had a hard time choosing between the fire and grass starter in the poll.

    Does poverty = crime?

Relative poverty is a catalyst for crime. Even working two or three jobs is sometimes not enough for an individual or family to achieve the same or anywhere near the median wealth of a population. Many times these families or an individual in a family might use illegal means in order to...

    Spritezorabw's Sprite Contest

Oh, never-mind. I was just wondering if the dex would be scratch or not. Good luck on the project :)

    Humanity: 500 Million year mistake?

This is why I am not a full-fledged advocate for the evolution theory taught in schools now. I think that there needs to be more emphasis on the fact that it is just a theory, and then differentiate actually facts from the potential outcome of those facts. Not to say, by ANY means I am an...

Do human beings act out of self-interest?

I was just about to respond with a similar argument. Whenever we help someone, we still do have self-interest to some extent. Also, self-interest is not necessarily synonymous with greed or ego-centrism. Sometimes I think it gets a bit of a negative connotation.
