What do you honestly make of it, even considering it's age? I loved it, thought it was a bit too short.

I hope you were joking, that's for sure... Misty was easily the best female companion Ash has had throughout the anime. She had all the characteristics a strong, confident female type should have. They do need to bring her back into the anime, she is extremely missed.
