    Pre-E4 grinding, it's always a major pain in ass. Happily GSC E4 is pretty handicaped and there's no need to be on par with their levels. Also, i'm not too happy everytime i see rival. Silver is probably the most unpleasantly awful character in the entire series for me.

    Use a clean Pokemon Emerald 1.0 ROM with proper emulator settings (save type Flash 128k + real-time clock) and stop being a jerk. The best ROM provider is independent, so search for something like Pokemon Emerald 1.0 (independent) in google.
