This sounds like an interesting idea. Will the aim be just the "badge and e4" quest, or will you just be out to stop team Blizzard? Also, I originally wanted Growlithe to be a starter, but since it only has 2 evos, I'd go for magby.

Well, in order to use an event tile, you'll have to make a script (which you can make with Pokescript). Scripts also can be used to edit what trainers can say, while PET can edit their pokemon (and I think money). Look in the toolbox thread for things such as those.

This is an A-Map tutorial, not a scripting tutorial. Scripting, and everything you asked for can be found in Simple Questions or the Document/Tutorial forums. Also, unless you have the ability and patience to script every tile in the game, having Pikachu follow you is impossible.

Whoa man, slow down a bit.You really don't need the massive font, bold letters, and underlines. Having a few screenies beforehand would work out a bit more with gaining some support, as well as a bit more story development.

Good to see one of the hacks I was looking forward to is still around. Once I get home I'm definitely going to try out the pre-alpha and tell you what I think. I've already taken a few looks around and this looks like it's coming along well (hoverboards ftw)

Sorry to hear that Heatran, there seems to be a bad case of that going around here. Hell, I've lost a lot of motivation on my hack as well, with final exams for school kicking in and all that. I wish you good luck in advance if you're hoping to start up a hack later on.

You would have to compile the script, then burn it to your ROM. There should be a tutorial of that on any pokescript guide.

Same here. It took me a second to realize Heracross (one of, if not my most favorite fighting types) was replaced by Munchlax. But I guess Riolu was a pretty decent exchange for an early fighter.
