Passion and blind love are certainly not choices, and if we assume that there is other kind of love besides the blind one (say, Tom Waits would disagree) - that one can be cultivated and kept over decades...in my humble opinion.

Speaking of being sucked in, I believe that during my WoW days (2005 - 2008) I had more than a year of PLAYED time. And similar for WAR, they virtually had to shut the game down in December 2013 to make me stop :)

As noted couple times already, graphics is not everything. This just can't be repeated enough.
