    Pokemon Nicknames?

    I always have trouble nicknaming my Pokemon, or finding good nicknames... The only good nickname I think I've ever come up with was nicknaming my Raticate Bucktooth... because Buck is the name for a male rat.. and Raticate has Buck Teeth..

    I've got another question. If I send out my first pokemon, and then switch it with the second pokemon, and the second pokemon defeats the wild pokemon, will the first pokemon gain EVs?

    How exactly do you EV train? I've played Pokemon for a very long time, but I'm new to competitive battling. I understand that you have to defeat a specific Pokemon to gain EV points, and once you have four of them you gain an extra stat point, but I'm not sure where to start... I play Pokemon...
