About that question //mew\\ had about Espeon/Umbreon... even though you can't trade FR/LG with G/S/C I think you can evolve Eevee into Esp/Umb in FR/LG (cuz you can get Slowking, Crobat, Steelix, etc. in FR/LG).
**BTW You do see the starter's picture before you choose it... but I don't know if...
I think the GSC Pokemon you can catch in FR/LG are all the ones not available in Ru/Sa and Colosseum, plus some like Phanpy, Wobbuffet, Crobat Bellossom and Kingdra (must evolve), plus Pichu and other baby Pokemon (egg). I know this isn't the exact list, but I hope it helps a little.
I've heard they may come out pretty late in the year (Sept/Oct), but I think FR/LG will come out some time between May and July... at least I hope so... :D
Well, I'm sure we would all like for it to be real. But, although it looks very real, I doubt that Nintendo would even have the box finished by now. Too bad, 'cause it looks really neat. :'(
You know, as far as the whole Rainbow Island controversy is concerned, I think you're all reading way too much into it. The Rainbow Islands are likely just another set of islands with no relation to the anime islands whatsoever. Of course, I could be wrong, but I doubt it...
Which version would you get if you could only pick one? And will your starter be the same as the one on the box of the version (FR, LG, or OB) you get?
I don't know what it will be, but I hope it's Leaf Green. Even though blue is my favorite color, I LOVE Venusaur! :D
...Actually, it would be pretty cool if they came out with all three... :P
As far as I know, the game is identical to Red/Green/Blue (except graphics and minigames, etc.), until you beat the Elite Four. Then, you can trade with Ruby/Sapphire and explore the Rainbow Islands. That's just what I heard. I can't confirm it.
Although it is extremely frustrating trying to catch legendaries w/o a Masterball, it is possible. Once in my Crystal Version I was training my lv36 Larvitar and ran into Entei (first time). The best Ball I had was a Great Ball, so I threw it, just in case, and... I CAUGHT IT!!! That was awesome!
