21st century geek with 20th century values
Politics: I am a registered Republican, but can best be described as a Blue Dog Democrat. In posts and online forums, if I am discussing a topic like this I always try to come up with my OWN ideas. Not talking points or phrases that I've heard of from Fox News or Think Progress (both of which I read and listen to). How many Republicans do you know blame the church for hindering scientific progress? How many liberals you know admit that there is a powerful green lobby? How many libertarians would embrace a technological overhaul of government? Fat Chance! I love to follow politics but I don't get involved with political activism or party "talking points".
Books: I like to read books about history and biographies. I also like religious fiction and books about politics
Movies: I like movies that make you think. Also the Marvel Movies are pretty good. Man From Earth is my favorite independent film. Iron Man is my favorite mainstream movie.
TV: Breaking Bad, True Detective, Black Sails, Doctor Who, Chicago Fire, Homeland, Mad Men, Masters of Sex, Blue Bloods. Are some of my favorite shows on TV right now. Also House of Cards, but that's not technically on TV lolz.
Reality TV: The Voice, Shark Tank, Undercover Boss
Comedies: Modern Family, The Neighbors, Raising Hope
I love AC/DC, Linkin Park, Passenger, Fall Out Boy etc... MY Spotify pretty much consists of Rock and Pop songs.
I like to eat anything with noodles, cheese and bacon!
