I'm trying to breed a perfect IV Abra, and the current male that I'm using has the proper nature and ability and also has 5 perfect IVs, but not HP. I'm wondering if it's safe to release all the other males that I've bred up to this point, because I figure that this current male that I'm using...
Just to be clear, because I'm not sure what you're saying the misconception actually is, the Destiny Knot DOES take 5 IVs from the total of 12 parental IVs. It doesn't matter who holds it.
Discount Coupon info, for those who want to know. This is from the PokeMileage Club website. I bolded the part that I think many people will ask about.
The only explanation I can think of is that cloned Pokemon are spread out enough that everyone is more or less on an even playing field (in terms of getting them from and using them for trades), but hacked Pokemon are more unique in that they create an unfair advantage in battles against other...
Why should I specify Legendaries? I'm talking about ALL Pokemon. Cloning is not a legitimate way to "create" Pokemon, whereas breeding is. I just don't see how your example makes any sense to what I'm saying.
Nah, that's not a good example at all. Breeding is a legitimate, built-in part of the game. If the parents were obtained legitimately, then the baby is still a natural part of the game. Cloning, if I understand it correctly, is essentially a milder type of hacked Pokemon.
Edit: Your example...
I'm curious why many people are okay with cloned Pokemon. To me, they seem just as much of a cheat as hacked Pokemon. I understand there's a bigger difference in terms of battling, but as far as completing your Pokedex, doesn't it seem like you are not legitimately completing it if you are using...
does anyone know if the oval charm decreases the number of steps from 256 that you need to walk to have a chance to hatch an egg, or if it increases the chance that you will find an egg from 20, 50, 70% after you walk 256 steps?
Ah, so it's not necessarily hacked then? I'll have to check if it's Japanese or if it has the Kalos mark. If it DOES have the Kalos mark, would that be weird?
Why doesn't my Mountain region pokedex have a gold crown next to it? I have caught all 151 Pokemon. Does it have anything to do with the fact that one of them shows it's from a pokebank rather than directly from Kalos?
