I'd recommend Platinum. or you can wait for HG/SS coming in 2010. Also i dont think manaphy is that good. If you do buy platinum you could easily get a manaphy off someone from this forum or get one from the GTS.

Ill just wait untill its released. Maybe keep my platinum then i can trade all my good pokémon over.

Im guessing that water pokémon such as wailord/magicarp will only be able to follow you on water. Ive also noticed that they dont stand still when they're following you. Maybe its just chikorita.

I hope that in HG/SS that the sprites move when you send them out. Like in platinum. Also Ho-Oh's sprite dosen't bother me much.

I got gold/silver when i was 5 and i cant remember anything that happened in them. Ill wait untill the english version of hg/ss is out. Plus i wouldnt know what the hell i was suppose to do if i imported the japanese version.
