I grew up with Red, Blue and Yellow and loved the first season of the anime absolutely. So guess what! lol 1st generation for me!

If the story itself isn't based on the anime, and has a unique story line of its own, I'd definitely find it worth playing. Just something new, different characters, new places to explore in Kanto region, it'd spice things up. Maybe a Kanto region of 25 years into the future? (from the anime...

I named my Pikachu 'Jolter', and my Rhyhorn 'Armocore'. :)

When I used Wonder Trade for the first time, I accidentally sent off a Fennekin... That was a lame move. lol But on that same day, I got a Squirtle, Zygarde and a Gengar. Kind of like winning the lottery. :) Now and then I just trade randomly caught pokemon.
