I know the feeling. I just spent two days unsuccessfully chaining for that silver Litleo...I think we've all been there. But I just found a shiny female Combee, so I don't mind so much right now :) Good luck to you with that Xatu, I'm sure you'll get there.

I've already got my shiny Mudkip hatched and ready to go :) I'm still going to use the in-game starter, though.

I've been hunting shinies for a while now, but my current all time favourites have to be my shiny Mudkip and my shiny Charmander. It's PINK and it's GOLD!

I think it will be pretty much the same as last time, seeing as it's a re-make. I think they'll make Mawile and Sableye version exclusive again, because they both have a mega evolution. But I doubt they will introduce new Pokémon, or take any of the Hoenn region specific Pokémon out. Though...

When I first saw May, I was a mixture of 'Yes! We still have May!' and 'Dear God, what did they do to you?!'. At first glance I was horrified, mostly at that AWFUL hat. But actually, when you cover the hat up, she still looks like the same old May. Just slightly less badass and more girlish...

I would personally love to see a steel type Eevelution. It could be wearing armour and a helmet, with a sharp tail and ears for swords.

Who will be the protagonists? Still Brendan and May, but will their designs redone. They will still be customizable. What role will Wally play? He will still by the player's rival, but he will be more involved in the actual storyline. He will fight side-by-side with you against Team...

The sandstorms were always quite vicious. So instead of having the Go-Go goggles, why not have a Flygon on standby to trek you across? Flying through the desert on a wickedly awesome Pokémon like that would brighten my day.

That one Devon guy with the weird, sticky-up hair was always a fond memory. But I also remember the scientists in the Devon building talking about what they were trying to achieve; a machine that would allow them to talk to Pokémon. How cool would that be?

Though apparently many don't agree, I would actually prefer Wallace to be the Champion. My first game was Emerald, so thinking of Steven as the Champion is odd to me.

I think it would be cool if a gym leader from a different region showed up, like Erika (Kanto) or Whitney (Jhoto). They could take on Steven's role if he returns to being the Champion, or help you out in some other way. I can totally imagine Whitney giving you a thumbs up sign and her Miltank...

I thoroughly hope there won't be any new Pokémon. The point of a re-make is that it's re-made; the same as the original, but better. It think it would spoil the experience a little bit for me when the most exciting thing I find about this game is the nostalgia it will induce.

Throughout all of the games, Wally has always been my favourite rival. I never really considered Brendan my 'rival' because in our last battle, his starter wasn't even fully evolved, and I considered Wally more of a threat. When I was traveling the region, I counted on my switch in/switch out Pelipper to Surf me across. Otherwise, I had my Swampert or my Kingdra ferry me across the waves.
