I enjoyed the post-Nat Dex level increases. And it was nice to get a crack at some different pokémon in the contest.

I played the game in an odd order, so when I caught the Red Gyarados my Magikarp was still around level 18. So I used it and then made my Magikarp an HM slave when it evolved. RG became my highest level for the Elite Four at 51 before I took them on.
