I think I found a Random pokeball glitch?

I evolved ivysaur with the primal root blue gave me after I saw the tri-bird thing. The event did not continue and even though my party indicated it was a venasaur, the pokemon in front of me was an ivysaur. They kept telling me to evolve ivysaur.

Dang, so there is no chance of recovering this game? I was able to load a prior save file by changing the save type. Do I have to go through the SS Anne? The level 100 magnemite are impossible to defeat!

I encountered a glitch making the game unplayable. I saved in the S.S. Anne and after loading up the game, I couldn't move my character. Instead, only the camera is able to move. I patched a clean fire red rom with Lunar IPS and am using the Visual Boy Advance 1.80 beta 3 emulator.
