    I think this is a pretty good patch, and it should make sense for Kanto to keep all the areas that were cut in GSC. My guess on why the developers cut those areas were so that the players are forced to rely on the Time Machine obtain most of the Kanto Pokemon (most notably the Legendary Birds...
