Not a problem!
Serperior's contrary is certainly OP. He's just one of those pokemon that turn from "meh" to something godlike.
Pignite should be available in a hidden grotto. Check the wild pokemon documentation.

Anyone wondering where to find a link...
Probably an error in the doc but i really can't be certain. Sceptile's ability 2 was adaptability in the blaze black 1 hack.
Grovyle can be found in one of the hidden grottoes, there is a chance you can find one with a 3rd ability (adaptability, unburden, whichever is 3rd). I have never checked...
It works for me, though it is not 100% consistent.
Hold L, then move in order to trigger it. Sometimes you may need to faint a random pokemon or re-enter the route for them to start working. Also, it only happens after you have received your first badge, like in the originals.
Hope that helps.
Hello everyone, I realize this game is old and this thread is barely kicking, but I have a full playthrough of major battles if anyone would like to see it. Even for the 3rd time through, this game was a blast.
I sadly can't provide a link until I have more posts, but if anyone would like to...
So... I noticed that Kadabra gets the elemental punches (and Alakazam gets blaze kick I think), but there are physical attackers that get the elemental punches as well. Seeing as the physical/special split is intact, are the punches just a bunch of poor moves for kadabra?
It just confuses me...
I saw that in the docs as well. I think a better solution would be to make eevee evolve into Sylveon when leveling up with an item like the soothe bell, since that's obtained before encountering Eevee and right in front of you before route 11.

Anyways, I tried this game. It was pretty fun...
