    Either catch lots of clefairy or use thief on every clefairy you come across. Wild clefairy have a 5% chance to be holding moon stone, according to serebii. Assuming those numbers arent changed, thats your way to get free moon stones. Also in order to use thief to get a wild pokemons held item...
