The mudpuppy looks better than the mudkip

I have a question. I dont have the pokedex where it list all the pokemon because i have not finished the game. But i have all the starter pokemon from every region and they are not listed in the pokedex. So when i do get the pokedex with all the pokemon will the starter pokemon i have be listed...
