    FireRed hack: Pokémon Unbound [COMPLETED]

    Pretty fun hack so far (I'm only up to the cave), but I'm finding the levels are a tad high (I'd take SM as an example of good early-game levels) and there should probably be a healing spot in the first town. Other than that, not too bad.

    I take it editing them back into Berries isn't that difficult for if someone wants a Mega-less hack? At any rate, cool patch.

    Looking cool so far! I do have a bit of an idea for future sprites: Maybe you could show a bit of their element in the sprite, like some RB sprites did?

    Er...I meant non-Kanto evolutions; sorry for the confusion. Again, I forget where I found the fix, but it boiled down to "change the byte at address X from Y to Z," which is straightforward enough that even with a very basic knowledge of hex editing I was able to do it.

    This sounds like the byte to allow cross-generational evolutions hasn't been edited. I forget what the byte was, but I do know that a hex edit on that byte alone stops the game from preventing cross-generational evolutions (e.g. Golbat -> Crobat).

    Couple questions: Is it compatible with the patch that puts EVs on NPCs' Pokemon? What's the "HGSS music patch" you mentioned in the readme?

    When you say "version with all the scripts intact," do you mean one that can more or less be patched onto FR and played with no problems?

    Personally, I prefer the wider doors. Looks more like the protag could actually fit in them.
