  • I kinda see where you're going.
My siblings and I used to play this computer game series called Exile. And man did we love them!
Spiderweb Software (the creators of the series) is still active.

Their style of games is definitely old-school style of RPGs.

Awesome that your twin now has a 3DS! Shame she doesn't want to get a Pokémon game. Speaking of which, are you curious about Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates Of Infinity? I am, but judging by what a lot of other people are saying, I'm starting to have second thoughts.
I understand. I also wouldn't making a mysterious first-person adventure game, kinda like Myst (which is still one of the best games ever made).
Or hey, how about a simple 3-D platformer game? The more I think about it, there aren't that many of those kind of games as they used to be.
You don't have to worry about making a football game or a car racing game. Those are already overwhelming in the video game market.
If I could make a game (besides the Color-shooting game I already discussed), I'd say maybe an animated third-person point-and-click adventure game.
Remember those old computer games that a lot of people liked as little kids, like Putt-Putt, Fatty Bear, Freddi Fish, and so forth? I kinda wanna make a game like those, only with my own original world, characters, and story, and probably a bit more edgy and more for older children.
    Know what I mean?
By the way, it's hard to simply describe a game in words. So, maybe you can't really see my vision without me actually having to show you it.
Yeah, maybe I might be going too far.
But hey, I don't have anything down yet. It's just ideas in my brain.
Now, I already know I asked you this before, but, what kind of games do you want to make? Platformers? RPGs? Graphic adventures? First-person shooters? A large variety?
Either that, or it stuns your shooter for a short time. Or maybe, though it may be too challenging, instantly loses the game.
Also to add to the fun, certain upgrades will sometimes appear in one of the holes, such as a score multiplier, or a clock that slows everything down for a while, or one that instantly clears the stockpile of balls, giving you points for each one cleared. Or maybe sometimes a downgrade will appear instead, making it extra difficult for a short time, such as stockpiling the balls faster, or slowing down the shooter's movement, or a moving obstacle appear in the middle of the screen that can block your shots.
    I'm alright I guess.
Just a little bit tired since I have had problems
with falling asleep since I came back to UK.
    Definitely.
To the side of the screen you see a row of colored spheres that shows you which ones are coming up next into the shooter, one by one. The row starts empty, but slowly fills up over time. You have to keep up with the income of balls, because the row keeps piling faster as the game progresses. If it overfills for too long, game over. Also, as an extra challenge, the color of the holes on the other side will periodly change color as well.
Well, one idea I had for a basic arcade-style game is what I'm currently holding the name "Colorfire" or "Colorshot" or something. There is a row of colored targets or holes at one side of the screen. On the other side is a ball shooter than you can slide left and right. You keep shooting different colored balls into the correct holes as quickly and accurately as possible.
    Want me to go on?
Just anything in general, but I guess PokéCommunity counts. I saw your new thread about learning game developing. I can't help too much...yet. I'm still doing Udacity.
Even what I wanna do most is animation, I still wanna make some kind of games with my animation. I even have a few ideas.
