Actually I just defeated the 8th gym. My main issue is that my Pokémon are severely under-leveled. They're all level 45 or so, but I've only trained 4 out of the 6 so far. I've got 216k to spend on vitamins and potions, I know it's not much but it's better than nothing :D I really don't know...
