Everyone knows about the cracks in the Mirage Tower. My friends has trouble doing it because he plays on an ipod. So here's the question. Is the mirage tower mandatory to progress through the game and will this affect the desert underpass? ( my friends needs a ditto for breeding)

Good EV Training spots? Are there any good spots for EV training? Since this is emerald I believe there's no power anklet or whatsoever except macho brace so any good ev pokemon giving out 2 points or more for each stats? :D
