I feel like most of the 90's cartoons everyone in my generation loves were pretty generic. Some of them were amusing, but compared to the complexity of something with a plot and a clever sense of humor like some of today's current cartoons they're kind of lacking in some respects. Not that I...

Romance. Romantic shows hinge on the presumption that you will become invested in the characters in some way. I just don't. The interactions are usually pretty predictable and unrealistic which makes it pretty boring.

SURVIVAL HORROR. The remake of the first Resident Evil game is emblematic this genre for me.

I'm really nostalgic for that Lion King game for the Genesis. I saw they released a port of it- for all things- the PS4, along with... the Aladdin sega game. Most random collection of games ever. Probably won't get it because it's overpriced, but it was a good game.
