What do you mean with mid-evolutions? Some kind of shared evolution of Feebas and Magikarp? That would be a first, and seems really random to do. A shared pre-evo? Magikarp andFeebas are already supposed to be one of the weakest pokemon to the point where they are used as jokes in such manner...

Swellow is stronger than Noctowl. Heck with Guts its a bigger threat than Pidgeot, Fearow, Dodrio and Unfezant too. All it needs is some type coverage... like a Fire move, so its not stopped by Steel types. And thats more likely to gain by other means than a new evolution.

Yea the early pokemon of each gen are usually clones of previous ones in terms of data (same amount of stages with similar stats just shuffled around a bit). So Starly/Pidove are clones of the 3-stage bird concept that Pidgey introduced, while Hoothoot/Taillow/Wingull are clones of the 2-stage...

But its true. (well okay as competitive battler Id consider at least Zapdos as an okay pokemon for battles) I mean, I am still waiting for an 2 or 3 stage Electric bird family D:! Or casual elemental birds in general actually... theres enough of Normal, Water and Dark now..

Yeah, I really hope we get a non-dragon lizard someday, that turns into a komodo dragon and gains Dragon as secondary in the process. Btw, Zekrom is a Dragon/Electric if that counts (since its a>reverse, and b>a legendary, while you might be wishing for a regular pokemon of that combo, as do I.)

For the millionth time, type match-up between the mascots DOES NOT MATTER. It can be 200% one-sided and gamefreak will use the conceptually fitting types anyway!

There could be a fourth elemental monkey to represent the teapot XDDDDDDDdd... Nah, they're also "wannabe starters" and there has never been a fourth real starter. I think its more likely for them to get a Normal shared pre-evo than that.

If Pinsir gained a secondary type, I'd hope it would not be Steel or Fighting like Scizor/Heracross, but the third, even more appropriate and unique type: Dark O:!

They don't seem like they're supposed to be more epic than the dimension trio. We haven't seen 670 since the first time tho (Kyo/Gro), so Id put my bets on that rather than 690, in case they aren't 680. If they turn out to be 680s, and there happens to be a third one, I could see that one...
