About Scizor: Get a Metal Coat from either catching Magnemites or using Thief against Magnemites. Then put the Metal Coat on Scyther, which you can obtain on Tuesdays or Saturdays at the Bug Catching Contest north of Goldenrod, and level up the Scyther. It should evolve into Scizor.

Is it possible to catch Pineco in this hack? I really hope I'm not just getting unlucky with all the repeated headbutt'ing in Ilex Forest...
