The announcement for Black and White is when I first joined this forum, many millions of years ago - when I first played through, I really couldn't appreciate them. I think I came back to them in around 2012 or early 2013 when Pokemon X and Y were announced, and now B/W and B2/W2 are two of my...
The fact that any rock you walk past - Geodude, Roggenrola - could just self-destruct in an explosion at any time, would make them the most dangerous common Pokemon that I can think of.
Just did a quick Google and apparently there's a Bug Catcher Conner in FRLG...who has two Weedles and a Venonat, as well as Scientist Connor with a team of Grimer and Weezing. So not the most inspiring of trainers, if I'm honest.
Might be old bias but I much preferred the original. Feels weird that as Pokemon gets objectively better RE graphics and scale the cities seem to be shrinking really. Felt like Mauville in ORAS was just a shopping centre, I missed having a city to explore.
On another note, RSE were amazing for...
They sold about a half as many copies as Black and White, so if demand is the same now as it is for B/W the price will be higher due to less units available for sale. They've had a lot of love in retrospect too, so will be in high demand.
Hi All
I'm MudkipBoy, and I used to go by the name of Snivysmiley on these forums when I used to visit every single day. That was about ten years ago now, as when I was 12 and all my friends were starting to slowly go off Pokemon I realised I'd have to find a community that loved it somewhere...
Old username: Snivysmiley
New username: MudkipBoy
No particular reason other than choosing that name about 12 years ago when I had nothing better in my mind. Want to get active on forums again under a name I like.
One of my favourite things about the switch is the fact that controllers tie in so much anyway. I already have one, so I may not be swayed by a £300 special console but if they retailed pikachu/Eevee joycons for £80, I’d be much more likely to buy.
Also, the battle screen looks very traditional - levels, exp and HP. I wonder how the levelling system is going to work with no wild Pokemon to battle.
Whatever you think of the mechanics and the changes to gameplay, there’s one thing present in the new games I’m sure we can all get excited over one thing: Pokemon who both follow the trainer and those already in the overworld ready to be caught
Having presumed it would be just pikachu and...
I tend to play as male (as I am) but there have been times in which I've played as a girl. I think the choice of male or female is great as so many games don't give players the option.
I love the differing views on 'completed' too - I consider the games complete when I've beaten the Elite 4, but for you the postgame/completed pokedex is your yardstick. By your version of events, I definitely haven't completed any of the games I've owned (except maybe Ranger and Mystery Dungeon...
Are there any main-series (or even spin offs) that any of you have owned but not completed? For example, I got Action Replay when I owned Diamond for the first time which completely ruined the game for 10 year old me so I stoped playing.
HeartGold, I completed Johto but (big regret) traded in...
I tend to wait until night time (or if the legendary is in a cave I don?t bother) and get it down to below half HP before using Dusk Balls. Tends to be the way which requires least effort and planning.
THIS. I've spent so long trying to collect the old gen games I sold off. I've been replaying Black recently and wondering why I ever sold it.
In game...I used the master ball on a Relicanth that I never actually used in battle.
