When levelling up after EV training, does the bonus reset? So it's pretty hard to EV at lvl 5?

Are in-game teams OK for here? If so I'd love any help with a team for Gold. No Legendaries if possible, and preferably around doing the damage rather than mucking about with Poison, Sleep etc. Any help would be great.
