Discontinued: Pokémon Sevii [New version Beta 3.5 out now!]

So I just beat my rival for the second time at Mt Iron, and I'm trying to trigger the next part of the storyline, but I keep getting met with "...". Anybody know how to fix it? https://imgur.com/m7t20uw

FireRed hack: Pokémon Vega (and Altair/Sirius) - English Version

If anybody else has had issues with emulator compatibility and gotten the black screen after the title animation, I've found that "John GBAC" for Android and "VBA-M" for pc/mac work best so far. Hopefully this saves people the 45 minutes it took me to find something compatible and up-to-date.
