Did a quick restart in a new save without doing the Hitmonchan event and the strength thing is working fine. Almost certain that it has something to do with that event. Will keep you updated if I find any other errors.

I think you can with My Boy! free emulator. Look it up on google, I know for sure that you can use it to trade pokemon with yourself like from ruby to emerald.

If you are playing the latest version, that eevee must be holding a stone when you get. Just use that stone like any other evolution stone on eevee.

Hey buddy, according to pokedex, larvesta can be found in the small cave near lavaridge town, the one where you can find fire types and poison types. Don't know where skorupi is, haven't encountered anyone using it yet.
