I'm back at it for a shiny Chespin. So far I have a shiny Furfrou, Honedge, and Eevee.

1266 eggs and no shiny Honedge. :( After 1311 eggs, I finally got my shiny Honedge. Now it's time to start grinding for a shiny Eevee. :D

Did an actual count. Up to 1116 eggs hatched.

Good lord. I'm well over 1000 hatched now with ZERO Honedge shinies. I'm losing my MIND. It's soul crushing to hear that someone has found 4 shiny pokemon in 200 eggs while I haven't found the stupid one I'm chasing in over 1000.

There have been some adult beverages involved over the past several evenings, I can assure you.

Thanks scotty, I try to think of each hatching egg like a little Christmas present. It might have socks, or it might have a next gen console. ;)

I'm officially up to 750+ Honedge with no shiny. The hunt continues today. After this I'm going for Eevee, and then Gastly after that. Oh, and I already have a Furfrou shiny I got through chaining.

I'm at 620 or so hatched for my Honedge. Immediately after this I'm going for an Eevee. Question: If I want to switch one of my breeders to another with better IVs, it won't impact my Shiny hunting right? In other words each and every egg is a dice roll, and the game doesn't take into...

Let me see if I can rephrase about the first Pokemon to help people out: 1. Eggs are predetermined when you get them from the Day Care dude. 2. If you were to load up on eggs and THEN save and fly to the city to do the trick, the eggs would all always be the same every time you reloaded...

I have to thank you for the Luminos City/Penny trick. I'm grinding for my shiny Honedge using this method while I work. I just gather some eggs and let it do it's thing while I work. Very helpful.
