I gotta say, this is an amazing hack! So good I bought a good GBA flashcart just to play it on original hardware lol. I was already messing with my physical copy of Fire Red so the timing of this was perfect. Really appreciate the attention to detail in regards to things like Pokemon legality...
Cool hack thus far REALLY great idea of putting the fps unlock as a toggleable menu feature, I would also really enjoy documentation as well for wild encounters as they aren't shown in the Pokedex for seen pokemon like Glameow and Stunky (which I know that's mentioned in the first post but the...
Could I maybe implore you to implement Pret's RTC reset function? I just got past Norman but my RTC is pretty much totally broken. Daily events like the Mauville Game Corner daily bottle caps event being totally broken for me and checking the bedroom clock shows it being about 12 hours off. I'm...
Oh no it never makes it to the battle screen it just stays on the overworld with the text stuck on "A Pokemon was feeding on the (berries)!" No battle transition.
All in due time! After all... The future is here thanks to Decomps!
The third option sounds like it could potentially be very interesting if implemented in the form of an item similar to the exp.
Also bug spotted in regards to encountering berry tree pokemon encounters on route 104 in which the where the pokemon is encountered is displayed but the game will lock...
Has there been a change to Natu's evolution line that wasn't mentioned? I understand that Natu evolves at level 25, which I leveled mine up past that and it doesn't seem to be evolving. No everstone attatched. Any ideas?
Eevee most certainly isn't native to Kanto or Johto, but starting in the Sinnoh games, Eevee could be found in the wild in some quantity in the wild in every subsequent generation since. Same goes for Riolu which was only receivable as an egg in Sinnoh where it debuted, but became a wild Pokemon...
This is just kinda something I'm throwing out there as far as concepts go for the other Glorias. I was thinking about "what is something that could represent hard-working determination?" Of course all I wanted to think of concept-wise for Ultra Beasts were cryptids and weird long-extinct...
Man... Tbh, I'd have to go with Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. As much as I love the main series games, they just don't compare to the how much I love Explorers of Sky. I can play that game over and over again and still not get tired of it. Plus I get burnt out of the main series games too...
I was probably 8 at the time and was really getting into Pokemon, but didn't have a game of my own until a friend of mine at the time sold me his Fire Red game for 5$ or something (what a steal!). My mom freaked out about this for some reason and it became a big thing, but eventually the game...
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I had no idea that the script was hidden so well into the rom! Also duh, I should've just tired experimenting with variables but for some reason I just totally didn't even think of that lol. Anyways, I know how to find any almost any line of dialogue in the Hex...
Sorry if that title looks cryptic or weird, I couldn't figure out any other way to word it.
Anyhoo, I'm pretty new to scripting and romhacking in general and have been making some great strides thanks to a video series on romhacking, but I've hit a roadblock while hacking Emerald. I can't seem...
Hey! Could I make a quick suggestion for an added feature? Would it be possible to make it so that Hoenn Pokemon can be traded into the game before the national dex and the Ruby and Sapphire quest? Or would that deviate too much from the original? I really like that the game has connectivity...
I live in rural Missouri where there's a lot of farmland, so do domestic Pokemon count?
-Ampharos: Sheep farming is fairly common in the Midwest and we even own a couple of sheep ourselves.
-Crawdaunt: There are lots of lakes, ponds, and creeks where I live making crawdads (what we call...
