I can't get my pokemon to mega evolve.. I have my Charizard hold mega Stone X and I see the little symbol for mega evolution but nothing happens... Also what is the mega Stone Z used for?

I'm not the developer but I know the answer to this. This problem you see is a bug in the game. It was never fixed, any time you catch any Gen 4+ Pokemon it shows you caught a shiny ratata
