If that's true then the games could've ended up being Gen VI games... which would make sense as Gen VI saw Hoenn remakes that Gen, so they might've considered remaking the Kanto games again alongside them. Then there's also the thing about GF having worked on Stars for Switch, but supposedly...

I recall that back in Gen V/VI they used the word "shocking" for news of either a Mewtwo or Pikachu event they had hyped up in Japan xD

Not to mention that the Battle Frontier in the anime took place in Kanto during Advance. So if the new games have a new battle facility, we could see that come up. Though I like the idea of him re-challenging the Indigo League far more ^_^

More that it's FrLG as those remakes did the same thing that's rumored, with it only having allowed the first 151 for the main story...

I heard about it from a youtube video, I forget whose (think it was Ruffle who mentioned it). There is a more recent rumor says that Johto will be free DLC... Overall there's a lot of rumors going on right now that it's best to wait for the games to be announced to sort through them...

Well the rumors for the past week or says that Pokemon Switch will be a sequel set 100 years after the original RGBY and will feature Kanto, Johto, and Unova. I mean, that'll be pretty awesome... So I hope they are right. So far they are xD

The reason they canned it was due to technological issues. They apparently couldn't figure out how to link up Go with the Gen VII games... Anyway, seems a lot of people are in denial about these being the Gen 8 games. If the titles are true, then I bet that these are the Gen 8 games. They...

Seems that we're getting a reboot of Gen I or at least a game taking us back to Kanto... at least that's what all the hints and rumors are pointing towards. Perhaps even a reboot of Gen I and II if Ho-oh and Lugia are hinting at anything... Or like I said before, a return to Kanto and Johto.

It was the same with Gen VI. I liked better this Gen than the previous 2 tbh xD. Though like Nah said before, the newest Gen does tend to get a lot of hate. I still recall how Gen III (and this was before I joined any Pokemon forums), IV, V, and VI got a ton of hate...
