6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

Your English is pretty good compared to a lot of people I've seen! Are you looking for chaining routes for only grass? Or just any chaining route (possibly with flowers)? A good flower chaining area is route 5 (go right from Camphrier town). There's a HUGE patch of purple flowers which make...

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

The chain keeps going, but for some reason after I got a shiny (another shiny scatterbug just now), I reset the grass over 50 times and didn't see another one. I then ended my spree when my hand slipped from the 3DS and caused me to veer off into a bad patch of grass. Definitely take breaks when...

6th Gen Are shinies too easy to find in Gen 6?

I MM bred a shiny Eevee after 11 other Eevee by chance, and so far have chained three shinies using the pokeradar. In the wild, though, I haven't really encountered any shiny Pokemon ever. I think there's definitely an increased chance, but not so much that they've become common except for some...

    New Uber Predictions?

From what I have seen so far, Mega-most-things are basically approaching legendary in stats. I've seen a lot of people battling with nearly pure Mega teams, though it seems single-evolution Pokemon don't get quite as strong even when Mega-evolved. Beyond that, I haven't really seen any Pokemon...

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

I just wandered up to route 8 on my lunch break to see the layout of the grass there for myself, and you're definitely right - it's got a terrible configuration which makes chaining very hard. But not impossible! While the D/P method (4 squares away) won't work here, the method that I've been...

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

You have to either K.O. them or catch them. If you run away it breaks the chain, unfortunately. Apparently you can run away while chain fishing, but that is a different mechanic.

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

I have updated my first post with new info based on my current experimentation. I will continue to add info to there if I gain any new insights into it. And yes, 40 chains are still the aim, but with this new method, getting there is much, much simpler. Comments, questions and the like are of...

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

Time for a progress report on chaining! So far, I've chained 12 scatterbug whilst almost completely disregarding the rules of chaining set forth in the D/P and B/W chaining guides. The music has not changed, nor has the grass color. But my chain hasn't broken yet either. Also, I have come...

6th Gen Some notes on chaining shinies

Advanced X/Y-specific chaining guide and research Last Edited: 25th October, Evening (GMT +8) I'll highlight the new sections in color so they are easier to find when I edit like this. Hi guys! I've only chained two three shinies so far (Doduo and two Scatterbug), but I've noticed that the...

    Type Chart Program

Ah, I'm glad you like it. I'm just posting this comment as an update, because I've switched the files to run on .NET 2.0 instead of 4.0. For the non-Windows-programming-savvy, this means that it should be automatically compatible with most versions of Windows, meaning you won't have to install...

    Type Chart Program

Hello people. Lately I've been working on a Pokemon fan game of mine and realized that the current Pokemon games have a pretty serious type imbalance. (Just combine Dark/Ghost or Steel/Anything and you'll see what I mean) While trying to make things somewhat more fair, I noticed that in order...

    Poke Island (SE)

Sorry for the downtime. Lately I've had a lot of stuff to deal with and it's basically taking up all my free time. I had to re-install windows on my new laptop and thus lost the link here, which I nearly forgot about until just now. Anyway, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that...

    Poke Island (SE)

Sent. No coverage on my old car, so I gotta pay for everything. It's alright though, I'll figure out a way to get by.

    Poke Island (SE)

Ok, so I am finally back. New laptop, I do have all my files still, and a whole bunch more crises going on. *sigh* So after my laptop died, and I replaced it, my car was all "Hey, I wanna do that too!" So now I need a car. And money. And I reall don't honestly know how much time I'm going to...

    Poke Island (SE)

Um, so I have bad news. Today my laptop fried its CPU or something, and now does not work at all. So until I get something to replace my new $2500 doorstop I'm going to be unable to work on Poke Island (or pretty much anything for that matter). I haven't backed up the files on there, but I can...
