... ... Please point out where in my previous post I stated that Alakazam was useless. All I said was that I think Garde is better because she appears interesting to me.

Personally, I think that Garde is superior, as there are still great -- yet not heavily explored -- movesets out there for Garde(and that's exactly what I use). With Alakazam, pretty much every viable moveset has already been explored and overused. I find that boring.
