I never found May to be overrated. I did found her to be a little bit annoying for the most part and way too whiny. But Dawn was the worst because she didn't have much personality and she was too much of a crybaby.

I do understand why Misty is overrated because she was the first original series female character to join the main cast. Characters like May/Dawn are okay, but they were never overrated to begin with.

I do have to be honest, the first season of the anime was much better then the AG/DP/BW/XYZ animes put together. The current anime lack a lot of the original series feel that made show so great in the first season, the new characters are not all that great like the original series characters...

The Team Flare arc was the only good part of the XYZ anime, the rest of the series was poorly handled and i mean the Pokemon League, it was way too overrush and could have been handled much better.

I think the Johto anime was really great, while it wasn't perfect it still had a whole lot of the Original series charm behind it, the newer pokemon animes are ok but they lack a whole lot of the original series magic and the pokemon anime went to crap after Johto ended. The first season will...

I highly doubt Brock is coming back since his character was poorly handled in the DP anime arc. He may get a cameo later on and that is about it, and who knows maybe Misty might get a cameo as well.

The show lost it's charm during the Diamond & Pearl anime , Brock lost his charm when Sinnoh started and a lot of people notice this during the DP anime. His character was becoming a trainwreck, and in other words Sinnoh made Brock a stale character.

Ash may get two starters this time around, next Generation he could get all three of the starters. I think we will have to wait and see what he will have for his Alola team.

I thought the trailer shown that the Trial Captains had all three of the starters, and if that's the case. He may not get a starter at all. I can see him getting Popplio, Rowlet, and Litten though.

I don't think Alola is going to be anything like Sinnoh, but i can see him getting all three of the Alola starters.
