    No, It's like they're basic elements, even tho a water/electric/ground triangle wouldnt be that bad, since in pokemon yellow you started with pikachu, its for tradition that one. On the other side imagine having a dark/psychic/fighting triangle, even tho all pokemon have their weaknesses...

    I tought it'd be nice to make my first post here =) Name's PinkSkull, and I love pokemon, I had my first pokemon game when i was nine, it was Pokemon Yellow, i still have my same game from them, never restarted, i was kind of sad that there was a huge block between the gameboy color and advance...
