I appeciate all the help! I haven't played Pokemon since the old days of Red, so I'm not terribly skilled with the newer elements of the 4th gen games.
I'm sure many members of my team have the scent of 1st gen design on them.
I'll have to grab a Ninjask and get a feel for it.
The other...
I was thinking of going the three-attack route. My only concern is being able to Nasty Plot up Ninetales's sp attack without getting whacked. I figure having hypnosis would buy me a turn or two of nasty plotting in peace, and act as a bit of an annoyer.
I like the Ninjask idea... any...
I've always loved fast pokemon, so here is my speed team, still under construction. Suggestions for held items would also be welcome.
Ninetales
Flamethrower
Nasty Plot
Hypnosis
Energy Ball
Jolteon
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Yawn
False Tears
Weavelle
Ice Punch
Night Slash
Aerial Ace
Swords...
Are there any reliable ways of getting them?
I've been digging for hours and haven't pulled up a single one. I'm up to my ears in leaf stones. Are there anywhere you can buy them or turn in spheres to get them?
Also: What are those colored shards used for?
I agree that legendaries are a bit cheesy, but I used my Palika only because I wanted the E4 over and done with so I could get my national dex. I didn't like being restricted to whom I could get on my tream.
It didn't matter too much, my Weavlle
Swords Dance
Night Slash
Ice Punch
Airael Ace...
Here is another question. Never mind which gender is better I'm wondering what gender is more common. If I'm going to use a gender-specific attack, I'm going to want it on a pokemon gender opposite of the masses.
I was able to chain breed an ice punch into my Sneasel, I forget the actual species, but I know it involved a Buneary.
Wild Sneasels can sometimes be holding the claws they need to evolve. I was lucky enough to get one from the sneasel I ended up breeding.
After you beat the E4 you can catch a Camerupt at the base of the volcano. If he has "magma armor" Seribii states that that ability will hatch eggs in half the time. I've tried it out and it seems to work, though I haven't done the hard number crunch.
What about the Expert Sash, the one that "Powers up super-effective attacks" how much extra power does it give to a super effective attack? Does the bonus double for a X4 super effective?
Its my favorite Pokemon, both for its abilities and for the look.
I'm just torn between three different setups.
Let me know what you guys and gals think is the best...and why.
1: Pure Sweeper
Flamethrower
Extrasensory
Energy Ball
Hypnosis
2: Power-up sweeper
Flamethrower
Nasty Plot...
