Bug Catcher Hector in the National Park still uses Mimic Circle dialogue from Emerald for his post-match text. Maybe change that? (I've noticed a lot of reusing trainers from the vanilla game, incidentally. Nothing wrong with that, but it's stood out to me since I remember names like that. XD)...

I think removing Mr. Mime also helps, yeah. I ended up just spamming Smokescreen and Leer with my Quilava get through it and and let my Aron slam Sylveon in the end.

I think swapping out Wish for Swift or something would work wonders.

Hi there. I'm enjoying the game thus far... except for one big issue. The level curve around Azalea Town is atrocious. If I'm about to go up against a gym leader with a Level 20 ace, why am I still having to grind on Pokemon under Level 10 most of the time? Most of the encounters in Ilex Forest...

An idea could be to have a special format or facility devoted to upper-tier competitive battling.

Learning C is daunting, as is designing a ton of new Pokemon and making a whole new region... I wish I had a team, honestly, but I don't want to exploit people.

Okay, so, I'm still going to buy them, but if they aren't any good - and it seems like they might not be - I'll definitely be rethinking my position as a financial consumer of the Pokemon series. And that's the thing... the Pokemon in these games look great, but the games themselves look phoned...

This seems like an interesting hack. I'll give it a try at some point soon! :) The fact you can't actually leave the gym until you've beaten it or blacked out is a bit discomfiting, though, I will admit...
