ahh okay, yeah i needed to know what the patcher kind was. it keeps telling me input checksum is invalid though.

can i not use 7-zip...? it would be irritating to have to switch back and forth. I extracted it, and the game came out as a .ups file.

Indeed, i have both. I am just not sure what i should use to patch the fire red ROM. I have an IPS patcher, but that did not recognize the file (because it wasn't ips obviously).

So I searched the thread, and there was no mention of how to install the game. I don't know if i am overthinking it, but could someone please explain?

I use Vba 1.8.0 and it doesn't allow me to play .rar files. Is there a way to change the file or the emulator to be able to play?

What you could also try that worked 100% for me was that i always keep pikachu as my highest level pokemon by 3-5 levels. that got rid of the problem pretty quickly for me. It will just take some patience to get there

That was a while ago for me, but you could try to just defeat some of them and see if the affect goes away. like the giant tentacruel back before the 4th gym.

As I eagerly await the new beta, I realize I am not sure how to apply the patch to my current file so I don't have to start over. I am using a vba rom. Thanks for making an awesome game!

Where is the EXP. Share? I have been searching for it for a while, but idk where to find it

I am sort of new to emulators, so idk what vba save type is. None of the rar/torrent file types i have tried to use work with it. what is vba?

I have played this on another emulator, but the saving in that one is really sketchy. Does anybody have a link for downloading this that works for the Desume emulator? it seems to only work with no$gba files. Thanks!
