In the Goldenrod Underground, when battling the rival, the game stops working when the "Rival wants to battle!" text comes up. The text never ends and shows weird letters and I'm stuck in a limbo and...
I love this hack, the intro is kickass and everything looks so accurate to the original Crystal. I wish it would be finished at some point.
Also, I totally captured a Shiny Metapod in this game:
I've done some research on set wild battles in Emerald, and it turns out to be more complicated than what I anticipated. I can't guarantee that this is the same for Firered or any other ROM.
First of all, the command "setwildbattle PKMN LEVEL ITEM" is the same as doing "setvar 0x8004 PKMN...
I found out that inserting a new map in Emerald will screw up the Battle Pyramid. Screen goes black when entering the blue warp thing at the beginning.
Anyone got a solution to this?

Just wondering, what was the point of doing the set battle style? People have an option to set it in the menu, but now they don't have a choice.
I found that 4001 is being used when Professor Birch gives you a Johto starter after completing the Hoenn Dex. setvar 0x4001 0x9B for Cyndaquil, setvar 0x4001 0x9E for Totodile and setvar 0x4001 0x98 for Chikorita.
I'm not familiar with vars, but can I use this to trigger different later events...
