Well I have found that the Masuda method is still relevant in that form of RNG'ing for shinies... Usually will give you more options with lower taps/flips.

As you get better at it your delay range of what you hit will shrink drastically. Then it becomes alot quicker. With AR I can usually do them in 20 minutes. Sometimes less.
