Update:
The husband and I took a trip up the south side of Mt St Helens yesterday (out through Cougar) and could not log on to Pokemon Go at any point up there. Definitely no 4G, or even 3G... I probably had enough reception that I could have sent out a text in some spots, like near campgrounds...

I caught three Magnemites last night in a park that was between a highschool baseball stadium and a river. Not completely sure, but I think it was the stadium that drew them in, I've spent hours hunting in parks and near bodies of water and have never seen them before last night.
