ok, i'm using the TGB Dual 7 emulator for gameboy color. i know you can trade pokemon using it, and i know the steps to do to trade them, but whenever i try to load my game in the GB2 screen, it either boots up just the ROM and not the .sa2 file, or if i open the .sa2 file all that comes up is...

i'm following bibliophibian's instructions about the tgb dual 7, but whenever i paste the .sav file into the folder to open up the game in the GB2 screen, a message pops up saying just a bunch of random symbols and characters. has this happened to anyone else, and would you know how to fix this?
