Is it just a matter of applying both patches to the ROM? I have virtually no experience ROM hacking so that's my idea of simple. If it's more complicated could you explain how?

To be clear you're supposed to only use 1 patch, correct? I'm asking because I tried using both patches and I got an error. So I assume that the level curve patch is the base patch with the obvious addition of the level curve.

Echoing what ilparte said, I'd really enjoy a patch that only included pokemon that canonically live in Kanto. Essentially a 151+ the prevolutions and evolutions of said 151.
