I noticed this wording, and responded appropriately, as I haven't had the pleasure to see everything in it's shiny form! Only BrandonXL can give a definitive answer to this. I would surmise that all pokémon can be shiny: I have seen them in both static and regular encounters, and a Shiny Charm...- RhubarbFool

Hi kait, firstly yes, it is possible to get shiny pokémon in this game. Secondly, the stars on the DexNav screen are in reference to the pokémon's potential, rather than any inclination that they are shiny; potential being how many perfect 31 IVs the pokémon is guaranteed to have.
