I wouldn't hold my breath about a release happening any time soon. My last prediction on January 2022 was that the next version would come out in about 6-12 months. Basic math tells you that it has been almost two and a half years. My point is imagine Buffel Saft is a Triple-A developer but is...
Hey again!
I'm a bit surprised that you changed it even though your personal preference was obedience over level caps. Why not make two versions then? I am not a ROM hacker but I assume it shouldn't be too much work to separate them in two versions.
Also is there a way to see your implemented...
What I personally love about hacks is a rich post-game content that adds a new event such as finding and catching legendary Pokemon, new area(s) to explore, rematches against stronger gym leaders, E4 and Champion, new type of Superboss trainer that is a greater challenge than the Pokemon League...
I respect your point of view. Usually difficulty hacks nowadays have level caps but you choosing obedience is just a different approach. Nothing wrong with that. Not every hack has to follow a set pattern based on popularity.
Hey GetKosiorekt,
I'm asking only out of curiosity if there is any particular reason you chose obedience over soft/hard level caps based on number of owned badges? In my opinion obedience is more annoying to players since we have to be extra careful not to level up too much. I imagine...
First of all, thanks to the entire team involved in making this hack!
Aside from minor bugs, is this hack in its current release fully playable from start to finish without any game-breaking bugs such as a script not running or getting into a softlock? Is it recommended to save often?
Hey Buffel Saft,
my last post here was on January 2022. I didn't read what I've missed. So let's keep it casual. Do you still have fun with coding your hack or do you feel like "meh" and just focus more on your life outside of hacking? Are you happy with your progress so far (which I mean...
Thanks for letting us know why you were away for a while. A public release should be something like 6-12 months away considering how much more work is left to do until 2.0 is ready. Doesn't matter though. Take as much time as you need. Best of luck with hopefully no big setbacks =). Version 2.0...
Skeli I know you rarely reply here but in rare occasions you do, any idea for how much longer you plan to support Unbound? I mean the game's already finished and at a state that can't be "remastered" or "enhanced" like it was from 1.1.3.1 to 2.0. All that is left is some minor bugfixes but...
Buffel Saft hasn't responded here for a while. He's probably on a break from coding or just a vacation. Take it easy guys. It'll come out when it's ready. Version 2.0 can be out after few weeks (which is very unlikely), many months or it won't even come out for whatever reason. Learn to be...
Sounds good. So this run could become challenging at some point as long as I don't use OP Pokemon and don't use megas myself. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for all the information :)
I respect that. I am sure there are many players that prefer your hack over difficulty hacks such as RR.
Just wanted to know if the gym leaders will fight with 6 Pokemon eventually and if the Elite 4 has stronger teams such as legendary Pokemon or other buffs that make them harder than gym...
@rioluwott I've been playing your hack for the fist time and chose hard difficulty. I have 3 badges so far. Each gym leader had "only" 5 Pokemon. Even with the level cap I feel like the game is not hard at all. Is it going to get any harder without spoiling too much? I know this is not Radical...
Please update the FAQ (when you have time for it) that tells us which Pokemon are still not obtainable in 2.0. I checked the changelog but couldn't find the info there. Cheers
EDIT: Never mind. There are 7 Pokemon not obtainable. It says in text document called "Main_README"
