The point I was getting at was, how many people still have a pet rock? How many people still have jelly bands even? Fads like that can't sustain themselves unless they have something behind them to back them up. In my opinion, silly bandz don't really have much appeal to them. Sentimental...

They are basically the same, I don't see them lasting much longer than jelly bands, because nowadays these fads are popping up like crazy, when we only named a few and summed up the whole decade of the 90's. People will forget them soon enough. There's a set of differences between Pokemon...

Well whether they'll admit to it or not, a majority of the underage drinkers drink because they aren't supposed to. It's their way of being rebellious. Take away that thrill, and a lot of alcohol's appeal vanishes. If you lower the drinking age, sure possibly even more previously underagers...

Uhhh...If you haven't heard of them, how would you be able to say whether or not they'd be wrong for school. For all you know they could be slang for packages of cocaine, or garrote wire; something along those lines would most likely not be acceptable in a school.

Exactly. The fact that everyone needs to create this separation is just absurd...

I feel the term 'Racism' is in itself racist. What better way to bring up the fact that we are in fact different races, and spurring all this drama, then coining a term that makes everyone notice that we are in fact different races? It has the reverse psychology "Don't think of kittens" "Crap...

They anger me. I personally don't see the appeal to them, considering when you wear them they just look like wrinkled wristbands... but It's another fad, so they'll be done with relatively soon, and I can stop worrying about them. (Not that I lose sleep over their existence or anything.) Z_Z

At first I think it'd actually have adverse effects. It would take some time to see the numbers you expect in my opinion.

Whatever the drinking age, kids/young adults are still going to find a way to drink. Just look back to when alcohol was banned completely... There were still people drinking it because they really, really wanted to. There isn't all too much anyone can do about it in all honesty.
