Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

Oh. Okay. Thanks. EDIT: Now I have another problem. I used G3HS to expand the number of evolutions per mon after expanding the type count by four, but it deleted all the evolution methods for every Poke. In trying to restore the evolution methods, I got an error loop, and now, every time I...

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

I solved that problem, but I'd like to know something I can't seem to find anywhere. Since I'm using an expanded (32 MB) ROM, how do I point to offsets after 0xFFFFFF? There's so much free space in that area, but it's such a tease as I don't know how to create a pointer to that area of the code.

Adding new types into Fire Red without replacing

When I search my rom for the hex value "DC5DE908" in step 1, I get an error telling me that offset doesn't exist. What am I doing wrong?

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

I found it, but it wasn't in the location he said it was in his text document. It was a bit off. I'd give the offset, but I don't have access to where I recorded it at the moment. I'm on the wrong partition of my computer at the moment.

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

I have another problem now. What i the offset you have for the type icons? I tried using NSE, but the offset it searched for resulted in a pure orange square.

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

No, it gave me that after I put in the values. So I put in the values again, and the same error showed up, followed by the same repair prompt. I tried again, and the process repeated. Are you sure there's not something I'm missing?

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

I got another error trying to do that, it reads as follows: Traceback (most recent call last): File "E:\Secret-Tool\build\mainWIN\out00-PYZ.pyz\lib.Tools.Recovery", line 145, in Submit File "E:\Secret-Tool\build\mainWIN\out00-PYZ.pyz\lib.Tools.Recovery", line 30, in Recover File...

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

Thanks for the info. And by "negotiating", I meant that I contacted a spriter, but they only work for money, so I need to negotiate a price with them. EDIT: When I tried to use G3HS, It deleted everything in the ROMbase after value 411, returning it to just gen 1-3 Pokemon. Luckily, I have...

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

I don't have any sprites for them yet. Well, I have sprites for every mega, but that's not what I'm currently trying to add. I'm making a hack with 162 Fakemon and even more Megas. But I don't have sprites yet because I'm still negotiating over that. So, how do I add without adding sprites?

Patch: Pokemon Fire Red Patch 1020/1460 Rombases UPDATE 6/23/16 Beta 1.1 Released

When I try to use PGE to add more Pokémon, I get an error when trying to edit any slot beyond Volcanion. I even tried creating .INI files for the extra mons and imported them, but I still couldn't edit the extra slots. I have no idea how to use pointers in .ini files (or anywhere, for that...

Help Thread: Recruitment & Team Building

Hello! I'm just starting out on a hack I've been dying to work on for over a year, so it has little progress, but lots of promise! Hack name: Pokemon Neon Opal Version Hack of: Pokemon Fire Red v1.0 Information about the hack: New region (Salintra Region), four extra types (Atomic, Light...

FireRed hack: Pokemon Sweet Version v1.0

Well, first of all, I don't actually get all the reasoning behind your chart, to be honest, but I'll see if I can make sense of it enough to try to explain how my six suggestions would work (The one I feel is needed the most is Mint, though). First, I've noticed that it seems that flavors...

FireRed hack: Pokemon Sweet Version v1.0

I noticed that it was mentioned that the types in Sweet Version (which I only barely started playing but am already in love with, BTW) are based off of ice cream flavors. Well, I've noticed that some flavors that I enjoy in real life are missing. Some of these are common ice cream flavors...
